Bookopoly!
admin on: Year 6 Blog
In Year 6, we are playing a game of Bookopoly! The children have been set the challenge to see how much of their board they can fill before the end of the year. Each time they finish a book they can complete a book review, do a presentation for the class, submit a review on Amazon, draw something from the story or tell us all about the book and then they will have earned another square on their board. There are a few other challenges on there such as visiting the library or taking an amusing reading selfie so we can't wait to see the pictures of these! Good luck Year 6!

Writing - The Dreamgiver
admin on: Year 6 Blog
The writing that Year 6 have produced this week has been excellent! We have thoroughly enjoyed reading the stories! Lucy (6L) wrote this fantastic paragraph:
'Matt chuckled to himself - enjoying his dream. The dreamgiver lifted up his bag and tiptoed half way across the room when...Crunch! With a horrified look on his face, he spun around to see what lay before him. "Oh no!" he thought. He crept towards the scene, with his heart pounding and his palms sweating. He thought he could make it but it was too late...'

These are some of our favourite sentences so far...
'Shining like gold in the dark night sky, the moon glimmered as though it was beauty itself.' James 6L
'Flickering, at the end of its bright life, the dripping, waxy candle blew out as the glass window shot open sending a gust of cold, salty sea air into the lighthouse keeper's wrinkled, weathered face.' Ellie 6L
