PE & Sporting Achievements

Sport and PE is a vital part of the curriculum at Abbey and a key driver for supporting the physical, mental, emotional, social health and wellbeing of our children.  We have a dedicated sports coach in school, who works with children of all abilities to develop their skills across a range of sports and physical activity.

From September 2021, children are actively participating in 'The Daily Mile' to improve fitness, concentration levels, mood, behaviour and general wellbeing, and we are really pleased to see sporting competitions and events beginning again following the period of restrictions enforced by Covid19.

To help them enjoy sports and PE safely, children should have a PE kit which includes a white t-shirt, black shorts/ tracksuit bottoms and trainers.  Specific footwear may be required for certain activities.  It is suggested that a PE bag is used to keep all PE kit together.
